Half Day Mount Teide Tour

Itinerary
This is an half day tour that will bring you to the Teide, pampered by unspoiled nature and warm sun.
A minivan will pick you up at your hotel at a time agreed upon the booking phase, we will begin our tour crossing the tourist areas of “Costa Adeje” towards the city of “Arona”, as soon as we cross the historic center we will stop at the Aloha Park where you can taste the local products. We will continue on to “Vilaflor” stopping at 1550 meters at the “Pino Gordo”, the oldest and most spectacular pine tree with its 45 meters high and 10 in diameter. The tree covers over 35 square meters of the surface and is considered a mystical place. We will be able to take pictures and then we will continue towards” Canada del Teide” reaching the “Roque de Garcia” where we will leave our vehicles and begin the trekking trail, this is about an hour walk on a trail with low level of difficulty suitable for everyone including families with children. In the meantime your tour guide will give you all the information necessary to understand the formation of this volcanic structure.
Before returning to your hotel we will stop at the “Parador Hotel” for a “Barraquito completo” typical Canarian coffee with condensed milk and more, the use of the utilities.
This 4 to 5 hours tour can be booked for the morning or early afternoon.
Buzanada – Aloe Park
The Half Day Mount Teide Tour will leave in the morning from your hotel in Tenerife South. From here we will head to Buzanada to visit Aloe Park (formerly known as Jardines de Atlantico ) with its 40,000 meters of aloe and its “finca”. This is a farm surrounded by beautiful plantations of bananas and aloe vera. You will admire many varieties of fruit trees (oranges, papaya, avocado etc.) and locals animals.
In conclusion you will experience a tasting at the park bazaar.

San Miguel de Abona – Granadilla – Vilaflor – Gordo Pine

From here the Half Day Mount Teide Tour will drive to San Miguel de Abona. Then the Tenerife excursions will continue to Granadilla and from there go up to Vilaflor at an altitude of 1,400 m.
Vilaflor is the highest village in Tenerife. Here we will make a little stop to see the Gordo Pine. This is the largest specimen of the Canary Islands, with a height of 45 meters.
Teide National Park – Mount Teide Excursion
From here we head towards the Teide National Park a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Mount Teide is a dormant volcano which is the third largest volcano in the world. Morevoer the Mount Teide is the highest point in Spain. The Teide National Park has been a protected zone since 1954.
The drive up to the Teide National Park is an experience in itself, with Alpine scenery and tons of wildlife. Infact, about half way up, the terrain abruptly transforms into a surreal, lunar-like landscape.
The weather here can be dramatically different from the rest of the island too. Infact you can encounter freezing temperatures and snowfall in the winter. In the summer however, temperatures are more consistent with the rest of the island, at around 30-40 °C.

Retamar – Islands El Hierro – La Gomera – La Palma

Afterwards we will make a brief stop in Retamar. This place is a vantage point from which you can admire breathtaking views of the islands El Hierro, La Gomera, and La Palma.
Las Canadas del Teide – Los Roques – Pico del Teide
We will then head towards Las Canadas del Teide. We will visit the volcanic rock formations of Los Roques. Here you can admire the majestic view of the Pico del Teide.
